About this event

F’Casal Fornaro celebrates the cultural and culinary heritage of Qormi, historically known as Malta’s “village of bakers.” Across two evenings, the historic streets and squares come alive with traditional bread-making, open bakeries, Maltese folklore, music, street theatre, arts and crafts, and displays of local products. Visitors can experience one of Qormi’s most distinctive traditions while exploring the old town and discovering the story behind Malta’s famous bread.
Please note: The festival is expected to begin at around 7:00 PM, based on previous editions, but exact 2026 timings have not yet been confirmed. Visitors are advised to check the official Lejl f’Casal Fornaro Facebook page for the latest programme before attending. The festival is spread across several streets and squares rather than one single venue. Entry is free, but food, drinks and products sold by participating stalls may cost extra. Visitors are advised to wear comfortable shoes and expect busy streets, especially during peak evening hours.
