Birgu Waterfront is one of the most picturesque areas of the Three Cities, stretching along the historic harbour beneath Birgu’s fortified streets. Visitors can walk beside the marina, admire traditional Maltese architecture and enjoy views across the Grand Harbour while exploring one of Malta’s oldest historic cities.
The waterfront is also a good starting point for exploring Birgu’s narrow streets and surrounding historic landmarks, while simply walking along the promenade itself costs nothing.
Please note: Walking around the waterfront is free; museums, boat trips, restaurants and individual attractions nearby may charge separately.
