Tritons’ Fountain is one of the first landmarks visitors encounter when arriving in Valletta. Located just outside the capital’s City Gate, the fountain features three bronze Tritons supporting a large circular basin, reflecting Malta’s strong connection with the sea. Its prominent position makes it a popular meeting point and photo stop before entering Valletta’s historic centre.
The surrounding pedestrianised square also makes it easy to combine a visit with a walk through City Gate and into central Valletta.
Please note: The fountain may occasionally not be operating due to maintenance, weather or events, but the landmark and surrounding square remain visitable.
